Join us as Emily Mueller will be presenting to us live via Zoom. She will be presenting on "How to utilize stuff in your hive to help your business". This will be on Zoom but we are still going to meet in person for a watch party at the Firehouse. A swarm catch from an apple tree in 2013 was the beginning of Emily Mueller's beekeeping career. Over the last eleven years, she has taught hundreds of beekeepers all over the world. Her focus is on educating children at local schools, educational centers and holds private home-school classes for local students. Mueller Honey Bee Rescue has helped rescue hundreds of swarms and remove many colonies from structures and buildings. If we teach you something about bees then we are doing our job!

We are going to have our OCBA Field Day at Don Chesak's beautiful farm and apiary. We will be in the apiary so you will need a veil/jacket. For our field day we will be going over equipment, protective gear, and we will have a presentation on how to calibrate a honey refractometer so that we can make sure our honey is at the right moisture content and won't ferment! There will be a potluck after so bring a drink, a chair, and a side to share. The club will cook up some hotdogs on the grill. Time: 10AM until noon Take the driveway on the left and follow the mulched road to the back. If there is rain we will move to our rain date.
