September General Meeting/Feild Day/Yard Sale/Cookout!

Join us for our last feild day of the season! Get a closer look into the robust hives of our hosts, Melissa and Scott of Mad Dog Acres. We will be presenting winterization options, how to check hive weights and food stores, feeding options, and Oxalic Acid (OA) treatments during broodless periods to get our hives up to and through the winter! We will then have an opportunty for Q & A. Please bring bee suits or jackets, closed toed shoes, and a chair!

(** Rain date will be SUNDAY, September 28th)

We will also host a Bee Equipment Yard Sale! If you have equipment laying around and you would like to offer it up for sale, bring a table and set up a space! In order to comply with intrastate regulations with used bee equipment, our state apiarist, Amanda Skidmore, has graciously offered to set up an inspection and sanitizing station for those who are bringing equipment to sell.  Please note that this is scheduled for 12:00 to 1:30 pm. Everyone is responsible for their own sales so please plan accordingly if you want to participate.

Afterwards members can stay for a cookout! There will be pulled pork sandwiches with sides and water provided. If you would like something else to drink, you are welcome to bring it.

We look forward to seeing everyone as we close out the 2025 feild day season!

If you wish to attend and need the address, please email info@ocbees.org.
